ITCL have begun 2009 by securing the recruitment of Mike Dixon

Following an award winning 2008 business year, ITCL have begun 2009 by securing the recruitment of Mike Dixon. Mike joins ITCL bringing a wealth of experience and knowhow within the tube inspection sector and will help to shape and drive ITCL's policy in this area this year.

 

Managing director Michael Dodd said, "In line with our direction to strive for continued excellence in our work and customer service, the recruitment of Mike represents a significant step forward and positions us well to anticipate and deliver on the challenges 2009 will bring."

 

ITCL Application Centre.

ITCL are pleased to announce the opening of our new Southern office. This will house our brand new Application Centre to provide industry with the ability to develop solutions for non destructive inspections.

 

The centre has highly skilled engineers with knowledge of the complete range of inspection techniques and all industry sectors to solve complex inspection requirements.

 

The facility is designed to receive components and develop techniques to allow for inspection in the field. This is for typical defect mechanisms or for verification of test procedures for component fabrication. After successful development of an inspection process, ITCL engineers are available to go onto site to oversee implementation.

 

As well as developing techniques the centre also provides a centre of excellence where non-inspection engineers/managers can go to learn more about the latest inspection technologies.

 

These tailored courses provide an insight into the requirements for code based inspection techniques to be successfully deployed. The benefits and limitations of all inspection technologies and inspection techniques can be further implemented into process control programmes.

 

ITCL can also provide equipment familiarisation courses for advanced inspection equipment for personnel prior to attending PCN/CSWIP/ASNT examination or refresher training.

ITCL are delighted to announce a new addition to the team, Robert Quimby.

ITCL are delighted to announce a new addition to the team. Robert Quimby is joining the company & brings a multitude of skills and experiences from within the industry. An MSc graduate in Materials Science, Robert has extensive specialist experience in the phased array market worldwide both as a product specialist and product manager. An author of several published papers within the sector, the appointment of Robert will allow ITCL to strengthen further their position in the market.

 

ITCL managing director Michael Dodd said, "To be able to bring on board a man of Robert's calibre is a huge coup for ITCL and a clear indication once again that we will be looking to reset the bar for top class technical and customer service in 2009. I would like to take this opportunity to welcome Robert to the team and look forward to working with him immensely".

 

ITCL have rounded off 2008 by winning Business of the Year.

ITCL have rounded off 2008 by winning Business of the Year under the local borough's 4M/EDZ employment charter and in conjunction with the North West Regional Development Agency. Awarded by the Mayor, Cllr Keith Butcher at the Holiday Inn, Ellesmere Port and attended by various dignitaries and members of the local business community, ITCL collected the award for their demonstrable commitment to business growth, employment and training opportunities for local workers and all round excellence. Speaking shortly after the ceremony, ITCL managing director Michael Dodd commented, "This really is the icing on the cake of what has been a tremendous year for the company. A huge thanks goes to all the team here at ITCL without whom none of this would have been possible and I'm sure, like myself, they are looking forward to striving for new heights and standards throughout 2009."

 

The arrival of Chris Bishop

ITCL are pleased to announce the arrival of Chris Bishop to its welding services division. Formerly of ICI & IMI Components, Chris is one of the sector's leading welding inspectors who will be bringing nearly forty years experience to the company. ITCL managing director Michael Dodd said, "I am delighted to have secured the services of Chris on board here and have no doubt that the wealth of skills & experience that he will bring will prove invaluable to ITCL as we continue to move forward in this competitive area.
